Summary/Abstract: After presenting brief autobiographical data on the Turkish political emigrant Tarik Mumtaz (1891/1892 - 1977), the article addresses some of the issues related to his stay in Bulgaria in the 1920s, using unpublished archive materials stored in the State Archives of the town of Targovishte, as well as publications on the subject, mainly in Turkish.
