Summary/Abstract: The article sheds light on the personal relations between Moldavian Prince Jeremiah Movila and King Sigismund III Vasa. In the beginning, the Moldavian boyar was a secondary figure among the Moldavians associated with the politics and politicians of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. After seizing the Moldavians throne, he made steps towards the Polish- -Lithuanian monarch. Sources suggest that for the Hospodar, the relationship with the king was meant to counterbalance the Crown Chancellor and Hetman Jan Zamoyski’s plans for Moldavia and to strengthen Movila’s rule which was faced with external threats. Nevertheless, Jeremiah Movila maintained his relations with Chancellor Zamoyski, although they were necessarily weakened
