Shaping of organizational structure – football lessons

Summary/Abstract: The considerations presented in the article assume that it is possible to redefine the organic organizational structure. The analysis of FC Barcelona structure leads to a conclusion that the organic structure is a more complex solution than that one which appears in Burns and Stalker’s research. This is a very flexible structural solution characterized by a low degree of specialization, being the consequence of not smooth, but relatively permanent work division, flat configuration (hierarchy), high degree of decentralization, as well as of standardization and formalization of activities. Last but not least organic organizational structure and other elements of an organization should be based on their core values.
