Summary/Abstract: The article scrutinizes the experience of the future in the latest Polish literature basedon methodological proposals on the temporality of artistic experience in Gilles Deleuze’sCinema, supplemented with philosophical and aesthetic studies by Alphonso Lingisand Alva Noë. The article employs Dorota Kotas’s novel Pustostany (Empty Houses) asan example of a temporal composition described by Deleuze as a “crystal of time” andSalcia Halas’s Potop (Deluge) as a manifestation of the temporal rule of the “seed.” Theexperience of the future manifests in these books in different ways, and in each of them,we find a renewed reflection on the artistic practice of improvisation.
