Summary/Abstract: When current curricula are examined, it is seen that there is a separate section for values education and values form the perspective of the programs. In addition to cognitive education in schools, it is one of the issues that should be emphasized that emotional education should be given the necessary importance. Based on this, it is aimed to examine the folk songs of the famous folk poet Neşet Ertaş on the basis of values education within the scope of the study. Qualitative research approach was adopted throughout the study. The data consists of twenty-five folk songs in total, which were accessed through document analysis, using articles in the literature, journals and electronic media. At this point, the study is limited to twenty-five folk songs. The data subjected to descriptive analysis were summarized and interpreted according to predetermined themes. In the study, twenty-five folk songs of Neşet Ertaş were examined on the basis of eight values. In the analyzes made on his selected works, it was concluded that the values of justice, respect, love, honesty, truthfulness, patriotism, hard work, patience and benevolence were intensely emphasized.
