LEGAL AND SECURITY ASPECTS OF SPORTS

Summary/Abstract: Sporting activity should represent an activity that is undertaken in the time of leisure and spare time. However, for many people, sports activity is the primary life activity and the function they perform for the purpose of their existence. Sports activity can therefore be viewed as a recreational and a professional activity. In this paper, the author considers sports through a legal-security prism, in the context of national security, terrorism, espionage and corruption. Sport is therefore seen at the same time as a target, as well as an instrument of national threats. Fan violence could also be observed in the context of the legal and security aspects of sport activity. On the other hand, the paper points out the positive effects of sports on raising national awareness and improving interstate relations.
