Summary/Abstract: The text presents shortly Ivan Sarailiev’s biography, archive and the lectures on English philosophy as an interesting part of his intellectual heritage. Prof. Sarailiev was born in 1887 in Sofia. He graduated from school and became a student of philosophy in Paris in 1905. Between 1906 and 1908 he was under the strong influence of Henry Bergson. Sarailiev was a teaching professor in Sofia University between 1919 and 1950. During that time he visited Britain and USA and became interested in pragmatism. He died in 1969. In his archives were found the most of his lectures, an interesting correspondence, manuscripts and his private diaries. All of it is accessible in Centre for Documents and Archival Funds in New Bulgarian University. The manuscripts of the lectures on English philosophy consist of 533 sheets of paper. The absence of a section dealing with the philosophy of David Hume is an interesting detail asking for its explanation.
