Summary/Abstract: The rapid advancement of technology, changes in production and management processes, the continuous implementation of innovations, as well as all the higher demands on human resources in the organization have led to a significant increase in problems related to mental health in the workplace. Overcoming these issues will bring a number of benefits to workers, to the teams they are a part of and to organizations as a whole. This article examines the key importance of mental health to employee productivity and effectiveness, the problem areas that may arise as a result of its deterioration, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health, and policies for its prevention and promotion in the workplace.
