Summary/Abstract: The paper is an attempt to present foreign words and their Polish equivalents belonging to the field of linguistic terminology. Of significance is here the term “Polonizing” dictionaries, whose goal is to replace loanwords in the Polish language with native words or assimilated borrowings. The object of description in the paper is the macrostructure of three “Polonizing” dictionaries: by Xawery F.A.E. Łukaszewski (1847), E.S. Kortowicz (1891) and Władysław Niedźwiedzki (1917). Examined are also semantic groups within the field of linguistic terminology and the author checks whether or not the specialist vocabulary contained in the lexicographic works is currently used.
