Summary/Abstract: Demographic trends in our country and worldwide affect all areas of public life: political, economic, social, cultural, informational, environmental, military. In the 21st century, issues related to the number, structure, territorial distribution and qualitative characteristics of the population are becoming increasingly important for sustainable development and security. Demographic imbalances and their serious consequences threaten national, European and international security. In order to ensure the security of our country, all government institutions need to focus on maintaining armed forces, border police, civil defense, intelligence services, cyber security, human and drug trafficking, and the fight against terrorism.
