Summary/Abstract: This essay is an attempt to define a special element of the social organization of the communication, namely the refusal to communicate. The author, starting from a sys- temic-constructivist approach, defines the phenomenon as an element that guarantees the stability of constructs typical of communities based on group or cultural identity.
