Legal aspects of the extradition and the European arrest warrant

Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the study is to describe the development of the institute of extradition and the implementation of the European arrest warrant in Republic of Bulgaria in present days. The study examined the mechanism of transfer of persons for the purpose of criminal proceedings in another country and the role and place of the extradition and European arrest warrant in the legal environment in the Republic of Bulgaria. For the first time in the scientific area in the Republic of Bulgaria are examined the forms of extradition. In the study have brought out the main similarities and differences between the extradition and European arrest warrant.
