Summary/Abstract: This paper mainly investigates the differences between men and women in English language from the aspects of pronunciation, vocabulary, syntax and communications. This paper also analyses the possible physiological, social, cultural and economic reasons for the gender differences in English. It is believed that the different roles played by men and women in society affect their speech styles and result in the gender differences in language.
