Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a cognitive-linguistic model called the Spiral of Discussion Perspective, which is considered in lexical-semantic terms with the help of structural components such as means of expression used in the course of discussion in a German-speaking academic environment. The hypothesis formulated in the study is supported by the development of scientific analysis of the discussion specifics as a form of oral communication, in which communication partners encode cognitive guidelines aimed at helping participants in the interpretation and reflection of discussion opinions. The model proposed in the paper is positioned on two syntagmatic bases: „mentality“ and„interaction“.
