Vernachlässigte Kompetenzen im universitären Daf-Unterricht
About a Neglected Skill in University Foreign Language Teaching

Summary/Abstract: Language is not only a tool for fast and cost-effective transmission of information, but also the eternal environment for the development of communicative competence, which is based on worldview(s) and intercultural interactions and creates and respectively strengthens communication between individual and collective agents. In view of the specific conditions in the information society of our century, this article comments on the need to develop the pedagogical aspects of university instruction ofGermanforforeigners.
