Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on the emerging sub-field of corpus-based interpreting studies and outlines the research potential of this approach in integrating more mixed-methods investigations into interpreting research. Most of the currently available literature in this domain is largely theoretical in nature but recent developments and the rising momentum of using corpora in linguistics and translation studies has also opened the door towards reviving the quantitative investigations of the 1970s, offering researchers a more thorough picture of interpreting practice.
