Summary/Abstract: The present article wishes to examine the (photo)graphic text and its intertextual relationships. Guy Vaes’ writing often relies upon photography which is a particular text, a mirror that catches glimpses of the reality, fixes its forms and gives a meaning. In this respect, Vaes’ work (Les Cimetières de Londres, Mes villes) represents a sort of self-writing in which the reader becomes the witness of a wander in a town populated by unusual signs and characters.
