Data Mining Technology in Bosnian Companies - Readiness and Reasons to Adopt

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents results of the research of data mining readiness in Bosnian companies. The survey respondents were employees in Bosnian public and private companies. Readiness for data mining technology was assessed by applying Technology Readiness Index (TRI), which is since recently a widely accepted measurer of technology readiness. We have analysed the difference in data mining readiness between different groups of employees. In addition, wetested statistical significance of factors identified in literature, which have influence on decision to implement or not to implement data mining technology in Bosnian companies. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS 16 software. Key words: data mining, data mining readiness, Technology Readiness Index
