In dignity, the depth of norms and values

Summary/Abstract: The text is a review of Janusz Mariański's monograph on the value of dignity and education aimed at promoting and shaping dignity. The author intends not only to present the content of the aforementioned book by the Polish sociologist of religion and morality, but also to direct the reader to a broad view of the contexts that both promote dignity and threaten it. Tekst jest recenzją monografii Janusza Mariańskiego na temat wartości godności oraz wychowania ukierunkowanego na promowanie i kształtowanie godności. Autor zamierza nie tylko przybliżyć treści wspomnianej książki polskiego socjologa religii i moralności, ale także ukierunkować czytelnika na szerokie spojrzenie w stronę kontekstów zarówno promujących godność, jak i jej zagrażających.
