Summary/Abstract: French diplomatic archives contain an important number of information about the one who seemed to be, in the first years of Romanian communism, the main figure of the regime - Ana Pauker. Comments and reports sent by the French officials from the Embassy in Bucharest reflect a certain positive approach to France despite the fact that Romanian-French relations were in constant involution.
