Summary/Abstract: Each political system is subordinated to achieving tangible objectives in the domestic or international sphere. However, no system is capable of filling the gap created by a defectively managed state. The example of states originating from Anglo-Saxon culture allows us to appreciate the value of the state’s internal security. On this basis, Great Britain, as well as the USA, has created a model of functioning in the international sphere. It is different from the European one, as is the procedure of its implementation. In the case of the Enlightenment in France, the changes were followed by idealistic values: equality, freedom, and brotherhood; while for the American as well as for the British people pragmatic reasons were important.
