Summary/Abstract: The author of the article explores the concept of disruptive competition, which unfolds on the basis of product or technological disruptive innovations or new business models, analyzes the strategies of market disruption and their consequences for business. The author reveals the essence and signs of disruptive competition, innovative dilemma, paradox, traps and anomalies of disruption competition. The article claims that asymmetric competition, hypercompetition, and supercompetition contain the potential for undermining the market. An algorithm for assessing the innovative potential and competitiveness of a business (firm) is proposed.
