Summary/Abstract: The Polish sector of international road freight transport has existed for more than 50 years. But within the last 20 years Polish hauliers have managed to become the most import players on that market. The main factor contributing to their success in terms of internationalization, described even by some as a true phenomenon, has always been the ability to combine the element outside the company’s control with favourable external factors and the company’s own resources as well as the ability to use them at the right moment, in the right way and within the right scope in order to maintain great competitivness in relation to similar carriers from other countries.
