Impact of the crisis on financial and banking markets in the 21st century on the rating of selected countries

Summary/Abstract: The biggest credit ratings agencies are Moody’s, Fitch and Standard & Poor’s. After 2008, the ratings of the USA, France, Italy and of course Greece decreased , Germany remained on its highest AAA level and the assessment of Poland was raised. During the financial crisis the “big three” has been criticized and there have been allegations that it contributed to the deepening of the crisis, or even that it led to the crisis in the USA. However, their evaluations and suggestions seem to be accurate and objective in recent years.
