Inflows of foreign direct investment from emerging economies to Poland

Summary/Abstract: This paper has been devoted to the presentation of the results of the analysis of foreign direct investment (FDI) inflowing from emerging countries to Poland. The phenomenon amplified its importance due to the fact that in recent years large emerging economies became significant sources of foreign investment estimated for billions of dollars. Among auxiliary research areas we can mention volume and industry pattern of inflowing projects, and expected influence on the Polish economy. The inference was based on the analysis of inflows of FDI and financial results of selected Polish companies controlled by business entities from emerging countries.
