Summary/Abstract: Successful management of educational institutions is a key element for building school autonomy. The behavior of the manager directly affects the work environment. The aim of this paper was to examine what are the necessary characteristics for successful management of an educational institution, and where the director of a modern school must have a developed ability to successfully respond to the goals and tasks set before the school. 100 respondents and 100 teachers participated in this research. The way of perception reflects the quality of the management itself, in this connection a review is given of the difference in the management system in relation to the gender of the manager. When it comes to the analysis of predispositions for successful leadership in educational institutions, the paper sought to show which predispositions are considered to be the key predispositons in successful leadership.
