Summary/Abstract: The objective of this research is to identify the current status of the content pertaining to maqam teaching in the Secondary Education Music Lesson Curriculum (SEMLC) and the activities in the Secondary Education Music Lesson Teacher Guide Books (TGB) related to this topic. To achieve this aim, the SEMLC was analyzed in terms of the learning domain dimensions related to maqam teaching, while the TGB was scrutinized in terms of the activity dimension pertaining to maqam teaching. The qualitative approach of the descriptive research method was employed in the study. The pertinent data were gathered through the method of document examination. The findings of the study indicated that the SEMLC comprises a total of 92 achievements, out of which only 9 were identified as being related to mode teaching. Furthermore, the TGB of the Secondary Education Music Lesson contained 46 activities pertaining to maqam teaching, corresponding to 9 identified achievements.
