Summary/Abstract: Piano education, which is one of the basic musical behaviors of music teacher and supports the development of music making behavior, play an important role in music education undergraduate programs from past to present. Along with the changes in music teacher training programs, the process and content of this education have also changed. Finally, with the HEB (Higher Education Board) Music Education Undergraduate Program, which was updated in 2018, piano training for music teachers was limited to 2 compulsory terms with “piano training 1” and “piano training 2” courses; their contents were organized according to this process. In this research, within the scope of the updated program, according to expert opinions it is aimed to examine the acquisition cases of competencies in the contents of “piano training 1 and 2” courses by the students.
