Summary/Abstract: The development of the modern criminal procedure is accompanied by a number of legal and doctrinal statements aimed at regulating and further developing the figure of the prosecutor within the current legal order. In the course of the pre-trial proceedings conducted by the relevant state prosecutor, it is necessary for him to comply with the established criminal procedural principles in order to ensure that it is carried out lawfully. In the present study, emphasis is placed on the issues related to the internal conviction of the prosecutor during his investigation, since conviction is an important aspect of the prosecutor’s activity in the process of uncovering the objective truth. In connection with the presented topic, the levels of the cognitive process, the stages of construction of the versions, the psychological aspect of the inner conviction, as well as other current issues related to the formation of the inner motivational processes will also be considered in the following exposition.
