LEGAL NATURE OF THE LAW OF NEIGHBOURS

Summary/Abstract: Neighbourhood is another family. While all good neighbours are alike, each bad neigbourhood has its own history and creativity. They differ from one area to another. That is why the law of neighbours, whether public and private, always has a lot of job to be done. But what really is the law of neighbours and what is legal nature of that body of legal rules? This problem has important consequences, and its complexity rises with the more intense interaction of private an public legal rules in regulation of neighbourhood relations, especially with development of planning and environmental law.
