Effects of local development of Kostomłoty community after joining the European Union

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the work is presentation of the effects of local development of Kostomłoty community after joining the European Union. Accession of Poland to the structures of the EU have created new possibilities of the development on national, regional, as well as on local level. Rural community of Kostomłoty made use of this chance applying for financial means from the EU programs. They enabled, at a considerable degree, the realization of numerous investments within the range of technological and social infrastructure, which resulted in the improvement in the level and life quality of its inhabitants.
