Summary/Abstract: Here we have critically analysed certain optimistic and simplified views on social determinism and we have consequently analysed the theories’ prediction capacity as regard the forthcoming evolution of society. During this critical examination we have revealed the role of the unconscious, irrational and random factors which contribute to the creation of historic events. We have also revealed the nature of emergent causality, as a specific type of causality, which blends on hazard and shows the value at the light.
