PHOTOGRAPHY AS A REFLECTION ON THE WORLD

Summary/Abstract: Photography (as a form of art, and as a technique, at the same time) has contributed to a metamorphosis of the world through mirroring, and, through its technical and artistic evolution, over time, it has become an important form of manifestation, but also of contemplation and (re) interpretation or reflection of infinitely nuanced aspects of human existence. Our study follows the evolution of photography, but also of its reception and its impact throughout the history of humankind, from Aristotle’s discovery of the principle that gave birth to it, to the present day.
