Applicability of Kanban methodology in project management

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents reflections on the possibility of using Kanban methodology in project management. The author presents the history of adaptation of the Japanese production control tool to the needs of IT project management. Then, based on the analysis of world literature related to project management methodologies and personal experiences, the author tries to prove the thesis that the set of available methodologies for project managers can be increased by the Kanban methodology.
