KAIZEN CONCEPT IN A LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the theoretical possibility of applying the philosophy of Kaizen in a unit of local government. The author presents the basic conditions of work focused on organizational and formal aspects, and shows the basic assumptions of the concept of Kaizen which are possible to implement. Through theoretical exemplification postulated by Kaizen improvements, the author comes to the conclusion that the key actions to enhance the work of the office is to focus on examining the root causes of problems, eliminate waste, improve internal communication and delegation of power.
