Summary/Abstract: A literary work seldom exists without additional elements of a verbal or non-verbal character. Despite their assumedly marginal nature these elements, most frequently referred to as paratexts, perform an important function. They present the main text of the work, influence the reader, guide him or her in the reading process, and ensure that the text gains a positive reception. The objective of this article is to discuss paratextual elements in The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, both in the original French version and in its Polish editions.
