Summary/Abstract: “The son as the correction of the father. Let’s repair the irreparable: let’s retrieve the relation of our mothers and fathers.” Balázs Györe is from the middle generation of contemporary Hungarian prose. His 2003 novel called Halottak apja (Father of Dead) is a comprehensive artistic effort to elaborate the traumatic relation between father and son.
