Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the problem of the locative case wihout preposition in old Russian and of analogical cases in ancient Greek and Latin. In respect of the forms and the frequency of this case there are various limitations in each named language. On the other hand, some features of the use of this case are common in all these languages: the locative case occurs above all in proper names of persons and geographical terms expressing the adverb phrase of place and time.
