Summary/Abstract: The modernization of agriculture and, in this way, the development of production activities in terms of performance, demand accumulation and utilization of capital, this occurring as a result of investment efforts made by agricultural exploitations, with support coming from agricultural policies (see various measures contained in NRDP, 2007-2013). The phenomenon is strict for the Romanian agriculture, recognized for its low degree of capitalization, most exploitations being by subsistence and semi-subsistence, having thus, low economic power. In these circumstances, the issue of capitalization rate is combined with the sources and how it is used the fixed and working capital existing. Starting from to the current state of the capitalization of agriculture analysis (grade, structure, owners etc.), the paper tries to identify solutions to the problems mentioned above. Also, there will be an emphasis on fixed and operating capital management in agricultural production, with reference, where appropriate, to insurance, use optimum allocation, etc, which are viewed in relation to the manifestation of entrepreneurial spirit in agricultural services.
