Summary/Abstract: Romania is one of the European Union Member States with the highest rates of youth unemployment and NEETs, which affects both our economy and the future of our young people. This article analyses the main causes of youth unemployment, the current policies at EU and national level to tackle unemployment and integrate young people into the labour market, and possible solutions to facilitate the integration of young people into the labour market.
