Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the concepts of violence and harassment at work in order to: (i) better understand the complexity of the processes; (ii) promote a multidimensional perception of the role played by colleagues and superiors; (iii) more clearly define the two concepts and while observing the links between conflict and harassment. The analysis is based on the definition of the concepts, the regulation at international, European and national level, as well as the impact on workers’ mental health and the reflection of their application in judicial practice both from the employer’s and the worker’s perspective, in the context of Romania’s ratification of the ILO Convention No 190/2019 on the elimination of violence and harassment in the world of work.
