INTERNATIONALIZING THE COMMUNICATION CURRICULUM FOR THE AGRITOURISM MASTER PROGRAM IN ENGLISH IN USAMV MIEADR

Summary/Abstract: This article describes the process of designing, piloting and reviewing a new textbook for English communication in business engineering at academic levels, aimed at internationalising the communication curriculum for master programs in foreign languages. My textbook, 2014 English as Instrument in Business Communication, facilitates communication in exchange schemes for business-engineering students, both in academic and in company practice settings. Student performance data I analysed showed that, on average, foreign exchange students performed similarly to the home students in a credit-modular structure that spans various faculties. This course is in step with innovative features, such as incorporating same-range foreign language structures of French, Italian and Spanish language teaching. This book is intended to educate potential professional engineers and managers, and give them the cultural experience and language skills to successfully operate within the EU. The objectives are to produce professionals linguistically competent and able to function effectively in international contexts. In order to achieve this it is necessary for students to spend an interval abroad, on an ERASMUS exchange scheme, just as I did, in teacher exchanges where I had the opportunity to work with Professor David Lloyd, Coventry.
