Summary/Abstract: In the 17th century, we can speak of a new orientation of the old Romanian literature. Now a current of affirmation of Romanian patriotism is emerging, which has also penetrated religious literature. This continues also in the time of Constantin Brancoveanu, in which the dominant phenomenon is the introduction and generalization of the Romanian language within the church, its official recognition in religious, cultural and state life.
