Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes some current aspects of international armed conflicts. Basic legal instruments of international humanitarian law are explored. A separate analysis is devoted to the violation of the law of neutrality by states that provide military support to one of the parties to an armed conflict. The question of criminal responsibility under international law in armed conflicts is raised. Examples are given illustrating the practice that this institution was practically not applied to the participants in many armed conflicts. A special place in the study is occupied by the attitude of the Republic of Bulgaria to the military conflict in Ukraine.
