Summary/Abstract: The naturalist current has its origin in France and has developed throughout Europe. In terms of Romanian and German literature, the naturalism first appears in Germany and then in Romania. The similarities between the two literary manifestations are: family disasters, the city, the collective character, the environment, the decadence, the degeneration, reality fiction correspondence, the death, the representation of the female character, the heredity, the disease and the music.
