Summary/Abstract: The business law in Republic of Moldova appears as a special category of civil law, as a sub-branch of it. The object of the business law includes the trade relations established with reference to goods, individuals and legal entities. The business law borrows many elements from the branch of civil law, which, as we know, is a “common law” for most branches of private law. The membership of the business law includes other social relations as well, such as trade relations (commercial law) and the relationships on the organization and operation of companies (corporate law). In this respect, the commercial and corporate law is considered to be institutions of business law. With reference to the economic law, the respective field is unknown within the territory of the Republic of Moldova. In order to avoid confusion at the conceptual level, we recommend the exclusion of this concept from the legal vocabulary.
