Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the intensified debate about the Revival and the revivalist in contemporary Bulgaria and the participation of literary theory in this debate. The object in focus are the academic literary narratives, school books and aids in literature and individual critical studies. Analysis is made of the models through which the lietraryhistorical narratives present the Revival. The areas of conflict, be it apparent or concealed, are studied. The processes of canon formation are followed as is their relation to post-modern thinking about the national and their reflection in the national public space. Conclusions are offered about the forms of presence and strategies of use of the phenomena of national revival and national culture in the cultural practices of the XXIth century...
