Summary/Abstract: The development of industry, large-scale and industrial agriculture, and the rapid growth of the human populationin recent decades have triggered an enormous mechanism of exploitation and destruction of the natural environment thatcannot be easily stopped. The devastating effects of human economic activity cannot be stopped without making difficultpolitical decisions. In addition to legal forms of human activity, a huge area of illegal activity against the natural environmenthas developed. In this area, criminal groups and mafias operate. A disturbing phenomenon is the interpenetration of these twoworlds. The relationship between legal business, politics and eco crime is a sign of our times. Significant damage to the naturalenvironment also takes place during the wars and acts of terrorism. Contemporary criminology notices the problem of violationsin the natural environment not only in the context of the deterioration of human living conditions, although this is a fundamentalissue for the survival of the human species, but also in the context of the development of research methodology and criminologicalterminology
