Summary/Abstract: This article examines the impact of Russian populism on Bulgarian populism of the 80s and 90s of the nineteenth century. This social movement is transferred from Russia, but in Bulgaria acquires specific characteristics. The paper examines the reasons for the occurrence and its impact in the literature. In the center of the study of creativity falls Todor Vlaikov and Hristo Maximov - Mircho, the most consistent and most obvious Bulgarian writers-populists.
