RELIGIOUS-MYSTICAL IDEAS – VALUES AND USES. THE NOVELS ‘VLADO BULATOV’ BY S. CHILINGIROV AND ‘MORAVA ZVEZDA KURVAVA’ BY K. PETKANOV

Summary/Abstract: This article discusses some religious and mystical practices reflected in the novels "Vlado Bulatov" by St. Chilingirov and "Morava zvezda kurvava" by K. Petkanov. In it the images of the primary characters and their specific attitudes and forms of self-identification are being analyzed. This is achieved by incorporating Masonic ideas. Theosophy, Tolstoyism, Masonry, Danovism are topics in Bulgarian literature after 1878 and in the article there are indicated reasons for their occurrence.
